Terroir

The cuvée “Les Jardins du Mesnil” is crafted from a multitude of small plots located in Mesnil Sur Oger. The blend represents the variations in soil of the hillside, in its structure, height, and duration of sun exposure. The exposure is always full East. The blend is composed from a selection of our plots from the plains (such as Les Hautes Mottes, Les Coullemets) and from our very low-yielding plots in the heart of the terroir, including Les Coullemets du Midi, Les Finciarts, Les Vaucherots, Les Hauts d’Aillerand, Les Musettes, and high slopes.

Vinification

Blend: Harvest 2018 (60%) sourced from the two Lieux-dits “Les Musettes” and “Les Hauts d’Aillerand” and Reserve Wine 2013 (40%)

Barrel Fermentation: 60% fermented in 228-liter oak barrels

Tank Fermentation: 40% of the wine is fermented in tanks on fine lees

Bottling: July 2019
